These highly finished firearms are samples of some of the specialty lines we've created. Each one is hand-crafted. We start with your black powder pistol and from there create art pieces inspired by history.
The Pocket Pistol
This custom design starts with an Uberti pocket Dragoon or a Wells Fargo model. With these pistols as a base there is no need to fill the loading lever channel which gives a cleaner line to the barrel.
During the process all the internal parts are re-heat treated. The firearm is then converted to 32 Smith & Wessonusing the new Kirst 1849 converter and refinished using traditional 19th century finishes. This includes: -bone case colored frame & hammer -charcoal blued barrel & cylinder -nitre blued screws.
The Pale Rider
The Kirst & Strite original Pale Rider was an engraved, nickel plated Remington equiped with Kirst's easy fit cartridge Konverter -- created in homage to the Clint Eastwood 1985 classic western.
This first line of Pale Riders sold out quickly to both collectors and cowboy shooters.
The Pale Rider - Basic and Beautiful
Once again we start with an Uberti and re-heat treat all internal parts. We then convert either Army style -- channeled, but with recoil shields or Navy style -- channeled but with the recoil sheilds removed. The converter has a loading gate and ejector rod.
The firearm is then finished using 19th century finishes including bone case color, charcoal blue, and nitre blue.
The Signature Series
This is Walt's personal "Signature Series" piece. The Signature Series will be available in a more basic model.
